Spinal manipulation, medication, or home exercise with advice for acute and subacute neck pain: a randomized trial: Annals of internal medicine, 2012
This study looked at 272 people with neck pain. They were broken up into 3 groups:
1. Medication
2. Manipulation
3. Exercises and advice
The participants were followed over 12 weeks and measured for pain and self reported disability, satisfaction and health assessment.
The results from this trial indicated a clinically significant improvement in finding between those patients received manipulations and those on medication and home exercise and advice.
